Instructor:
Michelle Murphy

Biography:
Welcome to Kumon! It is an honor and a pleasure to be a Kumon instructor. As a lifelong educator, a Kumon parent of three and a Kumon instructor, I am committed to tapping the unlimited potential of every child. Every child can be a life learner and can achieve unbelievable things. My education philosophy was developed through my own educational experiences as well as my ten years as a middle school and secondary high school teacher.  I am confident that every child, no matter their ability level, can achieve great things if they are given the tools and the confidence. Every child has a gift and once that child determines what that gift is, they can share it with the world.  But first, they need to have a strong fundamental foundation in education, specifically in math and reading.  Kumon helps develop the whole child and promotes strong, resilient, curious learners.  The Kumon method encourages independence and self-learning.  Through this method, children gain confidence, become hopeful about their education and see results.  These successes then lead to more success for children. The building blocks of success are rooted in the early years of elementary learning but the fruits are enjoyed for a lifetime. Students, who can stand on their own, ask questions and then answer them will be able to unlock many doors in their future.  I am so happy to be a part of your child’s life. Thank you for sharing them with Kumon!
